In order to mitigate effects caused by the energy crisis, the German Federal Government and its ruling bloc are collectively preparing a new relief package. On Aug 28th a draft was disclosed by the German newspaper SZ.
Scholz have promised, in the party’s third policy package, control of food, energy and gas prices, subsidized energy package and new monthly ticket for commuters. The package also included preparation to diversify further fuel supplies and calls to spare fuel.
Having faced several scandals including tax fraud and drug scandal since July, Scholz now faces increasing distrust to his premiership. The package, despite rectification of disputed proposal from Lindner, raises further accuses due to neglect of lower-income population.
